Busy summer is again behind us.
End of July we had the moving remembrancenight on the Market Square on the date of the 3rd battle in Passchendaele.
Now we are heading towards November 11, another important date in the history of the great war 100 years ago.
The authentic lions, given to Australia and now back since some months, are still standing at MENIN GATE, where soldiers passed on their way to the battlefields in Zonnebeke. Soon they will travel back home to our friends down under, but replica’s are being installed later. A gift from the Australian government. We are very thankful.
